More than a control disc. A piece with its own identity.
Plasticutz is a DJ control disc compatible with systems such as Phase and Rane Twelve. But it’s not just another accessory: it’s a statement of values
Handcrafted from locally collected recycled plastic, each unit is unique and one of a kind. Its textures, colors, and shapes vary with every batch, turning each disc into a piece with character, history, and visual presence.
Made to integrate seamlessly into your professional setup.
Plasticutz discs are designed for DJs who use:
Position-based control systems such as Phase
Digital turntables such as Rane Twelve / MKII
They contain no audio. They function as a visual and physical support for motion detection.
Dimensions: standard 12″
Weight: lighter than a conventional vinyl record, around 125 g. Extremely lightweight and agile.
Surface: micro-dotted texture for improved grip during intensive use.
Each unit is manually tested before leaving the workshop.
Turning waste into a creative tool
The process begins with the manual collection of locally recovered plastics through local initiatives, which are carefully cleaned and prepared.
They are then transformed into sheets using controlled heat and pressure. Each sheet is unique, and from it, every disc is individually cut and sanded.
The result is a functional, durable piece with a finish that speaks for itself.
Note: the final appearance of each disc is unpredictable, and that’s part of what makes it special.
Circular design, real impact
Plasticutz is part of a network of local initiatives that promote recycling, sustainable design, and social inclusion.
We don’t work with virgin plastic. All the material we use comes from community collection programs and educational workshops.
We produce in small batches. No rush. No mass stock. Each disc is made to order or in limited runs.
For studio, stage, or exhibition
Although they’re designed to be used, many DJs also acquire them as visual or decorative pieces.
Their aesthetic presence and the fact that no two are alike make them collectible objects, even beyond their functional use.
They are also used in music videos, photo shoots, or to customize DJ booths and studios. Plasticutz is both a functional tool and a visual statement.
